Moldova discusses cancellation of advance payments to Gazprom
CHISINAU, Jan 11 (PRIME) -- Moldova is discussing abolishment of advance payments to Russian gas giant Gazprom, Infrastructure Minister Andrei Spinu said on Tuesday.
"I have discussed the possibility of not making advance payments at least for January with the Gazprom head. A final decision has not been made so far. The supervisory board might hold a meeting on the issue soon," Spinu said.
He earlier said that the country had problems with payment for gas anew after the price increased to U.S. $646 in January from $450 in December 2021.
